AS HIS FORMER club were suffering humiliation at home to Norwich, Javier Hernandez was busy continuing his blistering Bundesliga form for Bayer Leverkusen.
On Saturday, he popped up with the only goal of the game against Ingolstadt โ his 19th in 21 appearances since arriving in German football.
And the goal will be a particularly difficult watch for United fans.
Leverkusen broke quickly from an Ingolstadt corner with seventeen minutes to go and Karim Bellarabi raced forward.
Hernandez made a good run into the right channel of the penalty area, the through-ball was perfect and the Mexican dispatched clinically to the net.
The sweeping counter-attack probably brought back happy memories for the striker, who grabbed more than a few similar strikes during his five years at Old Trafford.
It was his 11th league goal of the campaign and his 17th in his last 14 competitive fixtures.
Delighted to see him do well. Man Utd treated him shamefully.
Shamefully? How exactly?
Glad to see him doing well. Always gave 100% for Utd.
The problem was, he was not even getting 1% from LvG.
Neither did 3 other managers buy letโs all pretend that didnโt happen.
Deserves to be getting a regular start. A confidence player who is a great finisher.
This has become a weekly thing now I guessโฆ
Ginter, hummels, sokratis, howedes, matip, sule, kolasinac.all defenders i saw close up at matches Friday night and yesterday afternoon and they make your comment look incredibly stupid and narrow minded
Did you look at his goal high lights? The defending was back garden stuff.
This was against ingolstadt,a team in their 1st bundesliga season.your comment suggested the entire league canโt defend
I saw over 10 goals scored in the middle of defenders ball watching. I saw 2 deflected shots. People are making out that united have lost a superstar , when the opposite is the case . My comment is based on what I saw in over a dozen games. Other peopleโs comments are based on FIFA 16 by the looks of it.
Not to get in the way of the United bashing but take one look at the amount of goals scored in that league. The defending is awful.
Yeah the English league is much stronger, not
Well he couldnโt score 6 ft from the keeper and he missed an open goal on the goal line basically and heโs scoring for fun. No one said anything about the English I said the defending in Germany is crap .
Go into YouTube and look at the goals some of the defending is hilarious . Itโs a very poor league bar two teams and when itโs worse than EPL you know itโs crap.
Ah poor Dave a true United fan til the end
Football fan aka I actually watch other leagues instead of taking up a player that was benched by 4 different managers in two different leagues. I think the live blog should interest you with Liverpool 2-0 down , Your a Liverpool fan to the end worrying what the bigger clubs are doing while you own club is an utter laughing stock. Klopp in.
Is this seriously worth a whole article?
Really donโt know why he was sold
