JASON BYRNE WAS today named Airtricity/SWAI Player of the Month for June.

The 35-year-old Bray Wanderers striker scored four goals against UCD and broke the 200-mark during a memorable month and is chasing Brendan Bradley’s all-time leading goalscorer’s record of 235 goals.

Having young lads in the team alongside me makes my job a lot easier for sure, espically at my age, we all play off and benefit from the strengths of one another,” said Byrne, upon receiving the reward.
