The Japanese high school soccer tournament has conjured the best goal we've seen all year

Matt le Tissier, Stephanie Roche and Ronnie Whelan all rolled into one.

PICTURE THE SCENE.

It’s the quarter-final of the Okayama high-school soccer tournament.

The pressure is on as both Sakuyo and Tamano-Konan strive to reach the final-four.

The game is delicately poised at 1-1 when your goalkeeper thumps a long goal-kick up-field with seconds remaining.

And moments later, you conjure the goal of your young life to drive the crowd wild and win the game for your team.

So, Tamano-Konan progress to the semi-finals of their local competition and inch ever closer to the All-Japan tournament – the biggest amateur event in the country that features 48 school teams battling it out throughout December and January.
