Twix aside, Jamie Roberts just had an awful day at Carton House

The home of this year’s Irish Open was trampled by a load of Lions today.

AFTER THE SQUAD’S first night out last night – coincidentally at a restaurant part-owned by Jamie Heaslip – the British and Irish Lions squad today enjoyed a little more fun-time at Carton House’s 18-hole recreational facility.

The senior pro in action was Jamie Roberts, but judging by the stills coming through from INPHO’s Dan Sheridan, he definitely failed to do Woosie proud.

His short game was off.

He had to share his buggy with Owen Farrell.

‘That’s alright, Faz. You sit there while I swing away at these nettles.’

He’s WAAYYY to big for that club

(But he doesn’t believe in the belly-putters, you see.)

‘How did that not go in? ‘

So he abandoned wee Owen and his club…

… and gave two fingers to the whole thing.

As for the rest.

They had to pay one of the back-room guys to spend time with big Alex Cuthbert.

George North practiced his Digby Ioane break-dancing after hearing that his potential opposite number went under the knife.

Sean Maitland did some Sean Maitland stuff.

North robbed a camera, smelled cheese…

… and made a speedy getaway with Maitland at the wheel.
