Carra is still raging about Liverpool's decision to let Steven Gerrard go

The midfielder is Liverpool’s top scorer in all competitions with nine goals.

IT’S NO SECRET that Jamie Carragher thinks Liverpool were wrong to let Steven Gerrard leave.

In a recent Daily Mail column, Carragher wrote: “I cannot help feeling Liverpool’s hierarchy should have done more to ensure he remained at Anfield. Surely they could have come up with an arrangement that would have benefited all parties in the short and long term?”

And Carragher further questioned the wisdom in letting Gerrard go to the MLS last night, after he scored a brace in the FA Cup third round against AFC Wimbledon, with the Sky pundit taking to Twitter to express his grievances.

As the former defender highlights, Gerrard is Liverpool’s top scorer with nine goals — three more than the second most prolific player (Raheem Sterling) — while the star’s former teammate also hinted he was being held to impossible standards.
