The Jags and Titans gave us a glimpse of what a Star Trek NFL game would look like

We knew we’d seen those ‘colour rush’ uniforms before.

THE JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS did their playoff hopes no harm at all with victory over AFC South rivals, the Tennessee Titans, on Thursday Night Football.

After last week’s ‘colour rush’ game between the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills left some colour blind viewers unable to distinguish between the two, last night’s game reminded many of the original Star Trek series.

Here’s the uniforms the players were wearing:

On the field, Rashad Greene returned a 63-yard punt to set Blake Bortles up for a five-yard touchdown pass to Julius Thomas with just over three minutes remaining as the Jaguars won consecutive games for the first time in more than two years.

The 16-13 win moves the Jags to 4-6, just behind divisional leaders the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans (both 4-5) in the terrible AFC South.

The Titans fall to 2-8 and seem set for yet another top five pick in next year’s NFL Draft.
