Irish front-row sensation Jack McGrath belts out Billy Joel's Piano Man

‘Drico and Paulie hung me out to dry’ the rugby star admitted to us.

IRELAND PROP JACK MCGRATH was named man-of-the-match on his Test debut. The Leinster prop was a force of scrummaging nature in Ireland’s 40-9 win over Samoa.

Earlier today, however, McGrath was forced to go through the ritual every debutant must endure — the public sing-song for the benefit of sniggering teammates. Check out McGrath’s hauntingly good version of Billy Joel’s Piano Man.

TheScore.ie caught up with McGrath post-match at Lansdowne Road and asked for his take on events. He said, “I just had to sing up in the O2 box there, Drico and Paulie hung me out to dry. To be fair, I had practiced a small bit because I’m not a great singer.

“Piano man! It’s simple enough and people can get stuck into it.”
