Ireland's Jack Byrne scored another stunning goal in Holland today

The young on-loan Man City midfielder has impressed at Cambuur this season.

JACK BYRNE CAUGHT the eye again today while playing for Cambuur against PSV in the Dutch Eredivisie.

It’s been a disappointing season for his side, as underlined by their 6-2 loss today and their position at the bottom of the league on 18 points, but the 20-year-old on-loan Man City midfielder has still managed to impress amid the team’s dreadful campaign.

Not for the first time, Byrne scored an excellent long-range strike in his side’s game this afternoon — his fourth goal in 27 appearances this season.

And while the Euros will probably come too soon for the inexperienced Byrne, Martin O’Neill has acknowledged the youngster’s steady progress this season by allowing him to train with the Irish senior team prior to their recent friendlies against Switzerland and Slovakia.
