IT WASN’T A bad Saturday for Jack Byrne.
The 21-year-old midfielder was on target twice and was named Man of the Match as Oldham beat Northampton 4-1 at home.
His first goal, which came with just four minutes on the clock, is one to watch over and over.
Lively on the ball, he played a one-two on the edge of the box before rifling into the top corner to edge his side into the lead.
His second was a deflected effort. He also managed to come away with an assist.

He’s spent unsuccessful spells in the past with Blackburn and Wigan United but it looks like he’s well and truly resurrected his career since then.
