ITV WERE SO unimpressed with yesterday’s Ireland-England game at the Aviva that they were moved to apologise via Twitter following 90 minutes of largely uninspired football.
Highlights include “sadly the referee hasn’t lost his whistle, so we’re set to go again” and “former non-league player Harry Arter is on — he’ll be used to this standard”.
Meanwhile, when asked about ITV’s apology, England boss Roy Hodgson responded with a firm “no comment”.

What a game that was, the fans definitely got their money's worth. It had everything. I can't wait to watch the highlights.— Boring Milner (@BoringMilner) June 7, 2015
