Snooki gained fame through her involvement in Jersey Shore.

It's t-shirt time: Jersey Shore's Snooki teams up with Hyland brothers

The Dublin boxers have signed up to compete in an event staged by the reality TV star later this month.

IT SOUNDS LIKE the concept for a hybrid of rubbish reality television programmes – Jersey Shore girl meets three boys from Tallifornia.

Thankfully, it’s not.

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi, from the popular MTV show Jersey Shore, has recently moved into promoting boxing and will link up with the Hyland brothers Patrick, Paul and Eddie, for her first event.

The Tallaght natives have signed up with Team Snooki Boxing and will all feature in The Irish Invasion, which is backed by Final Round Promotions, at the Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City on January 28.

Featherweight Patrick ‘The Punisher’ Hyland, who is unbeaten after 24 fights, has relocated to the US in a bid for success and Snooki has every belief that he will be a world champion.

“Patrick’s desire, ability and work ethic will get him to the top,” Snooki told www.irish-boxing.com. “He has a great team behind him at home and in the U.S.

We wouldn’t have signed him if we didn’t think he had the ability to be a World Champion.”

The 28-year-old will be joined by super featherweight Eddie and super bantamweight Paul on the night and Snooki was eager to big up Ireland’s impact on the sport.

“It was a deliberate effort to go for an Irish show. The Irish have had a long and proud history of amateur as well as pro boxing success,” she added.

No doubt there’ll be plenty of GTL for the lads in the run-up to the event.
