This is what a collarbone breaking shoulder charge looks like

A big hit? No question. A legal hit? Absolutely not.

GOOD LORD, THIS late shoulder charge from today’s ITM Cup game between Wellington and Hawke’s Bay is fairly gruesome. Gareth Evans ended up with a broken collarbone after this cheap shot from Wellington’s Vaea Fifita.

Fifita was probably lucky not to get a red for such a dangerous tackle, although there were about ten teak tough shoulder to shoulder challenges like that on All-Ireland final day a few weeks back.
