Israel Folau strikes again with brilliant 70-yard sprint for try

The Waratahs winger intercepted a Ma’a Nonu pass and zoomed in a beauty.

ISRAEL FOLAU SCORED two stunning tries on his Australia debut, against the Lions, in June.

The rugby league convert was back on the Wallaby scoresheet in his fifth Test outing today but his excellent, 70-yard try was in vain.

The score came in the 71st minute with Australia trailing 24-9. He picked off a lazy, looping Ma’a Nonu pass and streaked past Israel Dagg before outpacing Ben Smith to the All Black tryline.

The try was nothing more than a consolation as New Zealand added a late Dagg penalty to make it 27-16. The successive wins mean the Kiwis retained the Bledisloe Cup for another year.
