Isa Nacewa makes his rugby pundit debut in New Zealand

The former Leinster star gave his take on this weekend’s Super Rugby semi’s.

ISA NACEWA FOUGHT the urge to follow Brian O’Driscoll’s and give in to the ‘one more year’ chants of the Leinster fans.

The New Zealander, who was capped once with Fiji, returned home after five successful season with the Irish province. He lifted the Amlin Cup with Jonny Sexton in his penultimate Leinster game before winning the Pro12 Final the following week.

Nacewa has comfortably settled back home and showed up this week on Sky’s Reunion show. The versatile back gave his opinion on the four sides — Chiefs, Crusaders, Brumbies and Bulls — that will compete in the 2013 Super Rugby semi-finals this weekend.

He makes his first appearance about six minutes into the show and the caption reads ’3-times Air NZ Cup winner (Auckland 03/05/07)’. There is nothing false about the caption but we feel that ’3-time Heineken Cup winner’ has a better ring to it.
