Is a sex offender impersonating Vince Young?

At 6’5” and 230lbs, you’d think it would be tough to find a convincing lookalike for the Eagles quarterback, but…

NLF QUARTERBACK VINCE Young was forced to issue a statement yesterday warning people in the Washington DC area about an imposter who had been using his name and identity to collect appearance fees.

According toFox News, the prime suspect has since been identified as Stephen Pittman, an alleged sex offender and “career criminal”.

Since publicly appealing for assistance in the matter, Young’s Twitter feed has provided a number of updates on the manhunt.

Pittman is accused of using Young’s identity as means of conning would-be donors to the Vince Young Foundation, but it appears he’s also been using it socially.

Philadelphia Sports Daily managed to track down Jonathan Pastore, whose friends have spent a great deal of time with Pittman/Young in recent weeks.

In addition to noting the imposter “shelled out cash like crazy” on nights out, Pastore also detailed the shrewder aspects of Pittman’s front:

“Over the past week his check-ins on Facebook had him at Saint Joseph’s University and other places. He turns his phone off during Eagle practices. When my friend went to visit him after he was hurt, he even had a big bag of ice on his hamstring.”

Improbably, given his dimensions, Pittman remains at large.
