THE NOW INTERNATIONALLY famous set of Euro 2016 Ireland fans had a busy weekend – from having the craic with the French police to romantic serenades in the street.
And now a group of fans has taken it to the next level of ridiculous soundness.
They sang a lullaby to a little baba on a Bordeaux train
If you can’t see the video, click here.
The footage has blown up online over night, starting from Joe.ie and spreading across the internet to huge soccer Facebook pages and amassing millions of views.
And it’s gone international now too.
“Twinkle, twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are”
Needless to say, the baby didn’t actually fall asleep despite the soothing tones, but at least the parents looked like they were enjoying it all.
Excellent.

Ah would ya F×ck off ! I’m all for the lads over havin the craic, and puttin on a good show, but its staged at this point
Please make all irish fan stories stop…
I rest my case. Cringe
We’ve reached peak self congratulations now. It’s getting embarassing
Cringe all ye want, I’d rather have a tonne of these stories over one more where some fan is after getting their head kicked in
I’d rather have no fan stories either way.
The race for most famous Irish fan group continues… And their getting desperate!
They are indeed!
That’s it for me 42, that is one ridiculous Irish fan story to far, cheerio and farewell, I’m reading my sport elsewhere from now on.
Aw, I’m sorry the 42 forced you to click on an article and then forced you to read it.
Why are you apologising, Official spokesman?
Goodbye martin
Vomit inducing. This staged cringing s**t is now beyond embarrassing
How is it staged, would you not quieten yourself around a baby, would you not help an elderly couple change a flat, I’m betting most readers here would do the exact same.
This fan behaviour from the Irish has being going on since we qualified for our first tournament, it’s only because of technology that we get to witness more stories like these.
Only the most miserable of people would have a problem with this.
My favourite part of this whole thing is that the idiots complaining about the articles are reading the articles and adding to its figures so ye only have yourselves to blame.
Tadgh Kennelly must have shares in the 42! He is one guy that constantly needs to remind everyone he is Irish like there is no other Irish person in the world!
Ah the bitterness of lads stuck in Ireland. It’s not like it’s the same bunch of lads doing everything that appears online. This is probably the first viral video any of these lads have been in. Would ye rather it was a video of Irish lads fighting Belgians on a tram or outside a bar? Another case of Irish begrudgery.
I’m surprised they haven’t started visiting the sick in the local hospitals yet. Ass”oles
Nope not clicking to read the article,I click so I can post a comment of my disgust at these cringy as fu*k stories..
Stop looking down your nose at others ye miserable old sod. Your view is at odds with every major sports publication across Europe who are heaping praise upon these fans.
Do you go through life seeking vindication from foreign publications?.
Pscald, “vindication” there is nothing to vindicate, Irish fans have always been good natured. I honestly believe that if the clip had have shown fans singing loudly in the presence of a baby you lot would be on here complaining about how unruly they are, you can’t win with moaners, always looking to be outraged at something.
Phil, I would suggest if the fans were singing loudly in the presence of a baby this video wouldn’t have made it on here or foreign publications. You really think it would have been covered negatively? Gimme a break
I just don’t see any harm in it Pscald. Most of these fans are probably in a couple of grand debt from going over so they might as well enjoy it. Even the babies parents are enjoying it and filmed the whole thing.
All a bit of craic. Hope they are all getting their ride over there aswell. I’m good with not seen a video of that though.
The matches really are getting in the way of fans “having the crack”
Aren’t the great lads ??
