Game of Murderball, Joe? Ireland's boxers tried wheelchair rugby tonight

There was no shortage of big hits in tonight’s exhibition match in Clontarf.

THEY’RE AMONG THE best in the world when they step into the ring — but how would Ireland’s top boxers fare in a game of “Murderball”?

Olympic medallists John Joe Nevin and Michael Conlan were in action tonight as an Irish elite boxing selection, coached by Billy Walsh, took on the Irish Wheelchair Rugby team in Clontarf.

It was only an exhibition match but judging by the pictures, there was no shortage of big hits. Just ask Joe Ward.
