IRELAND INTERNATIONAL KEIREN Westwood has signed for Sheffield Wednesday on a two-year contract, the club have confirmed.
The 29-year-old Manchester-born stopper joins the club on a free transfer, after he left Premier League side Sunderland at the end of last season, having lost his place in the team to Vito Mannone, while spending most of the campaign out injured.
And Westwood has now put pen to paper with the Owls, who finished 16th in the Championship last year.
The 16-times-capped Ireland international will compete with former Liverpool goalkeeper Chris Kirkland for a place in the side.
