Ireland's Andrzej Jezierski misses out canoe final spot

The Polish-born athlete came fourth in the 200m Canoe Sprint semi-final earlier, meaning he will not line out in the decider tomorrow morning.

THE DREAM IS over for Ireland’s Andrzej Jezierski.

The Polish-born athlete came fourth in the 200m Canoe Sprint semi-final earlier, meaning he will not line out in the decider tomorrow morning.

Ballincollig-based Jezierski will get a chance in the B final however. He was a sluggish out of the gate and never recovered as Ivan Sthtyl and Alfonso Benavidez led the way with Hagara holding onto third. Jezierski’s time was 42.012.
