Ireland delivered an encouraging display against Wales at the weekend. Niall Carson

What should the Ireland XV be to face France this weekend?

Coach Joe Schmidt faces some tough calls ahead of Saturday’s game.

WITH IRELAND HAVING produced an encouraging display in the 16-16 draw with Wales on Sunday, Joe Schmidt is unlikely to make too many changes to his side ahead of their upcoming encounter.

That said, there are set to be some alterations to the team. Key players Sean O’Brien and Rob Kearney are likely to be available for the trip to Paris, while Simon Zebo is considered doubtful.

Dave Kearney may also be in line to start if Zebo fails to recover in time, while O’Brien’s expected return means someone in Ireland’s generally quite impressive forward pack at the weekend will probably have to make way.

In addition, Donnacha Ryan could be handed a start after coming off the bench against Wales and James Cronin, an unused sub on Sunday, could also be in contention to feature.

With all that in mind, let us know in the comments section below who you think should feature for Ireland in Paris on Saturday.
