RTÉ HAVE TODAY announced that they will air the Women’s Six Nations clash between England and Ireland at Twickenham on RTÉ Two.
The February 22 fixture (kick-off 18.20) had originally been chalked in to feature on RTE News Now, but will now be on the flagship sports channel instead.
RTÉ 2FM have provided live radio commentary of Ireland’s two Six Nations so far in this campaign, but fans hoping to watch games live from Ashbourne were left with a stream as the only option.
That will change next Saturday as Philip Doyle’s Grand Slam winners take to the field after Joe Schmidt’s senior male side take on England at the same venue.
