PHILIP DOYLE AND the Ireland Women’s squad arrived in France yesterday ahead of the Women’s World Cup and were busy with a full training session at their Marcoussis base this afternoon.
Ireland are preparing for their tournament opener on Friday against the US, who won the World Cup all the way back in 1991. That fixture takes place at 16.00 Irish time and will be screened live on TG4.
There are no injury concerns within the Irish camp at present, meaning Doyle and his assistant coaches have a full deck of 26 players to select from for Friday’s fixture.
