There was no shortage of drama in Manchester.

THINGS WEREN’T LOOKING good for Ireland after the first quarter of yesterday’s opening game of the World Rugby U20 Championship in Manchester.

Nigel Carolan’s side leaked three tries in 19 minutes against the Six Nations Grand Slam winners to trail 17-0 at the Manchester City Academy Stadium.

However, tries from Adam McBurney and Jacob Stockdale before the break sparked a remarkable comeback, with Stockdale crossing again in the second half as Ireland secured a stunning 26-25 win.
