IRELAND’S U19S FINISHED their Elite Round qualification campaign with a win — but narrowly missed out on a place at this summer’s European Championships in Georgia.

And while Ireland did everything within their own power, winning 1-0 courtesy of a Wout Faes own goal in the first half, Sweden also ran out 1-0 winners.

They will join hosts Georgia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Netherlands, and Portugal in the eight-team summer tournament.
