Ireland's second ODI against Sri Lanka rained off

Typical.

THE COVERS NEVER came off in Clontarf today as rain forced the cancellation of Ireland’s second one-day international against Sri Lanka.

Rain had delayed the scheduled 10.45 start, but after over three hours without a playable window, umpires Richard Kettleborough, Richard Smith and referee Chris Broad conducted a ground inspection and called the match off at 2.20 this afternoon.
