AFTER A HECTIC day of rugby yesterday, the Irish team have arrived home at Dublin Airport a little bleary eyed but in good spirits.
And if you were one of the dedicated fans who made the trip to greet Joe Schmidt’s men, you might have been lucky enough to hoist the Six Nations trophy above your head like captain Paul O’Connell did yesterday.
If you want to see how the players celebrated last night, you should take yourself over to Jordi Murphy’s twitter account. The back row shared this great photo of himself with Cian Healy and Jamie Heaslip this morning, with the caption ‘Breakfast Club’.
Professional players don’t get a whole lot of opportunities to cut loose during the season, but winning the Six Nations is definitely an occasion that deserves a few ice cold refreshments.
And if Joe Schmidt wants to celebrate without alcohol, this cafe will sort him out with a beverage.
Newcastle look safe now. Hopefully they will already be on holidays when Liverpool go there on May 5th. Either way I’d say Rafa won’t be trying his hardest to stop Liverpool if they are still in with a shout of the title then.
@Flaming Mo: I hope you’re right but Rafa’s as straight as an arrow and I can’t picture him telling a player to go easy can you?….it would be a bit like the time Kenny brought Blackburn Rovers to Anfield looking for a win to secure the premiership, no quarter given that day and none expected by Kenny, you play to win, that day Utd blew it themselves fortunately :)
