World bantamweight (56kg) champion Michael Conlan gets his Rio campaign under way and there is plenty of pressure on the Belfast man’s shoulders as he is the last remaining Irish male boxing medal hope in Brazil. He will go toe to toe with Armenia’s Aram Avagyan from 15.30.
After impressing when finishing second in her heat, next up early on Monday morning for European bronze medallist Ciara Mageaan is the semi-finals of the 1,500m. She has been drawn in the first semi-final which is due to get under way at 01.30am on Monday.

Andy Murray is looking to defend the Olympic gold medal he won in the men’s singles in London but in his way stands a Grand Slam winner on the comeback trail in Argentina’s Juan Martin del Potro.
The former US Open champion has been plagued by injury but saw off Rafael Nadal in a semi-final tiebreak last night.
Murray, for his part, cruised into tonight’s decider with a 6-1, 6-4 win against Kei Nishikori.
The action in the gold medal match gets under way from 7pm with the bronze medal match starting at 5.30.
This should be good too…
The USA’s men’s basketball team are looking mortal for once, having been run close by Serbia and Australia already in Group A. Kevin Durant and Co take on Tony Parker’s France their final group game from 18.30. The French went down to the Aussies but have impressed in their other games and look well equipped to give the US a run for their money.
