The Rio Paralympics starts today - here's Team Ireland's day-by-day event schedule

THE 2016 PARALYMPIC Games gets underway in Rio today with 4,500 athletes from all over the world ready to compete on the biggest stage. Ireland has a team of 48 athletes across 10 different sports at the Games.

After last night’s opening ceremony, we’re straight into the action this morning with 11 consecutive days of competition ahead.

To keep track of when and where the Irish athletes are competing, we’ve broken down the schedule into a day-by-day guide.
