IRELAND BOSS MARTIN O’Neill has named a provisional 37-man squad for the upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers against Gibraltar and Germany.
There are just two changes from the 36-man squad that O’Neill picked for the Oman and Georgia games, with Shay Given (who subsequently came back into the team) and Paul Green returning, while Joey O’Brien misses out as he continues his recovery from injury.
Speaking at the squad announcement today, O’Neill joked: “The only player missing from the last 30 years is Paul McGrath. I’ve excluded a few fellas who have just died.”
Ireland play host to Gibraltar on 11 October, before travelling to face Germany three days later.
