Ireland pay fitting tribute to Anthony Foley ahead of All Blacks clash

In the build up to the game, All Blacks coach Steve Hansen also paid his respects to the Munster legend.

IRELAND PRODUCED A touching tribute to the late Munster legend Anthony Foley ahead of their clash with the All Blacks in Chicago this evening.

As the team faced New Zealand’s haka, they stood in the figure of eight — a nod to Foley’s number during his playing days.

In the build up to the game, All Blacks coach Steve Hansen also paid his respects to Foley, saying: “We haven’t had the opportunity and we have the Irish people here, we’d like to convey a message of sympathy and best wishes to the Foley family on the death of Anthony.

“It was a tragedy and one that was felt right throughout the world. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.”
