International duo still in contention for Stephen's Day run out

Shane Jennings and Cian Healy will be ‘monitored’ by Leinster staff ahead of meeting with Ulster.

LEINSTER REMAIN HOPEFUL that Ireland international Shane Jennings and Cian Healy will be fit to face Ulster on St Stephen’s Day.

The provinces meet in a RaboDirect PRO12 derby at the RDS on Monday (ko5.30pm).

Jennings  (forearm) and Healy (neck) picked up knocks in the 52-27 victory over Bath at the Aviva Stadium and the will be monitored for the rest of the week.

“At this point neither player has been ruled out of contention and it is hoped that the Ireland forwards will be available for selection,” a spokesperson said.

The  squad completed their first on-field pitch session since that comprehensive win over the Guinness Premiership side, this morning at UCD.

The team is expected to be announced on Friday lunchtime.
