Injury concern Best confirmed as good to go for quarter-final

The Ulster man was a doubt for the Rugby World Cup quarter-final because of bruised AC shoulder joint which he picked up in the impressive win over Italy last weekend in Dunedin.

DECLAN KIDNEY HAS included hooker Rory Best in the confirmed team to face Wales on Saturday morning.

But with the team now submitted at the deadline – 6am this morning Irish time – Best is confirmed as a starter.

It means Sean Cronin will now be amongst the subs.

Munster and first-choice Ireland hooker Jerry Flannery left the squad earlier in the tournament with a calf injury.
