THE PREMIERSHIP TIE between Gloucester and Worcester at Kingsholm this afternoon was bizarrely delayed after one of the crossbars was felled by a pair of giant inflatable rugby balls during the pre-match entertainment.
Kick-off was put back 30 minutes as ground staff attempted to re-attach the bar. This is surely the first time such a weird reason has hindered the start of rugby game, but feel free to let us know if you’ve heard any better ones.

The game itself has unfortunately been less entertaining, with Gloucester holding a 6-3 lead in the second half.
