Ice hockey player loses part of his ear, comes back on and scores game winner

Because hockey.

EARLY IN THEIR game with the Pittsburgh Penguins last night, New York Rangers player Kevin Klein took a high stick to the side of the head.

The damage was worse than anyone suspected:

For most people, that would probably be the end of the game. However, the ‘Broadway Hat’ Carpiniello is referring to in his tweet is given to the Rangers’ man of the match.

Klein picked up the award because he had the piece of ear re-attached and was back in the game in the second period.

And, to top it all off, he scored the winning goal in overtime.
