Poll: Who do you think will win this evening's hurling double-header in Semple Stadium?

Tipperary, Dublin, Kilkenny and Waterford – only two can survive.

ALL EYES ARE on Thurles this evening for a mouthwatering double-bill of hurling qualifier action.

And whatever your views on the rights and wrongs of Tipperary being allowed to host Dublin on their home patch, you know you’ll be tuning in come 5pm to see if the defending champions can get their summer back on track after a tame enough win against Westmeath.

It’s an intriguing contest in its own right – what next for Ger Cunningham and the Dubs if they crash out, for instance – but in truth it’s only the warm-up for the main event.

Waterford have waited almost a year to exact their revenge on Kilkenny for last year’s All-Ireland semi-final heartbreak, and common consensus is that they might never get a better chance than this evening.

Is this the day when Derek McGrath’s side cast off the ‘youngsters’ label and establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with – or will it be another case of the old cats for the hard road?

Who will win this evening’s Round 2 hurling qualifiers?
