Instead of being the next Argentine football star, he wanted to be the first Hugo Porta.

NOBODY HAS GIVEN more to Argentine rugby than outhalf Hugo Porta. He made his debut for Los Pumas in 1971 and played for Argentina for 19 years, captained them for 13 and scored 590 points over 58 tests.

Total Rugby did a pretty cool feature with Porta, and the former playmaker talks about why he chose to leave the game of rugby forever and why he thinks Argentina needs to focus on more aspects of the game than just the scrum.
