Hughes ready to take the reins at Stoke - reports

Careful what you wish for, Stoke fans.

STOKE CITY COULD name Mark Hughes as their new manager as early as this afternoon, it is reported today.

Hughes has been out of work since being dismissed from his role with QPR in November.

He is expected to be appointed by chairman Peter Coates as replacement to  Tony Pulis who left the club by mutual consent after a seven-year stint this month.
