TRIUMPH. DISASTER. AT this time of year — before a ball has been kicked or ruck has been formed — we can treat those two imposters just the same.
But no matter how full your glass is at this moment, you’re probably starting to form an opinion as to how well — or not — Ireland will do in this year’s Six Nations campaign.
Joe Schmidt’s men are, of course, aiming to become the first team to win back-to-back-to-back Five/Six Nations and just the third Irish side to win the Grand Slam.
Or are you worried Ireland are set to suffer a World Cup hangover having to settle for mid-table mediocrity or, worse still, could they even pick up the wooden spoon?
Take our poll and let us know why in the comment section below:
Svitolina made a statement after her match v Azarenka that the organisers should ban the sporting tradition of shaking hands after her opponent was booed off the court for not offering her hand out to be ignored. This was her decision to not shake the hands of sporting Russian athletes so don’t be asking authorities in sport to ban a custom that’s traditional sporting etiquette gesture, after all its only a game.
Svitolina expects the organisers Wimbledon to ban handshakes after matches , Ironic comment. Can she not stand the sporting Azarenka being booed off the court today, surely easier to say I should have shook her hand
Svitolina is mostly responsible if not totally for unsporting behaviour but are nt we all suppose to be on Ukraine side so it doesn’t matter just” boo the Russians” anyway
