ON TODAY’S SHOW we look back at Katie Taylor’s shock defeat in Rio yesterday. We discuss the reactions of both her and her coach Zaur Antia, who claims that Taylor did in fact win the fight.

We also discuss whether Irish supporters presumed too much of Taylor, who had lost two fights already in 2016.

Ireland’s final medal hope in boxing, Michael Conlan, takes to the ring later on today, and we look at his chances against his old rival Vladimir Nikitin, who beat the Belfast man three years ago.

Having spent a lot of time with Annalise Murphy’s family over the last few days, Sinead gives us the latest on the sailing after last night’s medal race was postponed. It is likely to go ahead today, with wind conditions today much improved on yesterday.

We also discuss French pole vaulter Renaud Lavillenie, who compared himself to the legendary American sprinter Jesse Owens at the 1936 Berlin Games. Lavillenie has since apologised for the comparision, but not before drawing a lot of criticism.
