Hoolahan and Delaney included in new-look Ireland side to face Georgia

Shane Long has been named as captain in an experimental Irish team.

NORWICH MIDFIELDER WES Hoolahan and Crystal Palace defender Damien Delaney have been named in the Ireland side to face Georgia on Sunday.

Shane Long captains an experimental team that also features Richard and Andy Keogh.

Irish manager Giovanni Trapattoni confirmed that the side would stick to their normal 4-4-2 formation, with Richard Dunne likely to play the last half hour of the match.

The game kicks off this Sunday at the Aviva Stadium at 5.30pm.

Ireland team to face Georgia: Westwood, McShane, R Keogh, Delaney, Wilson, A Keogh, Hoolahan, McCarthy, McClean, Cox, Long (c).
