HOLDERS MIDLETON WERE dumped out of the Cork County Senior Hurling Championship after 2-21 to 2-16 Round 4 loss against Douglas today.
They did have the better of the first half however, as an early Brian Harnett goal helped them establish a 1-9 to 0-8 lead at half-time.
Nevertheless, Douglas fought back early on in the second period, with Alan Cadogan among the point scorers, as they brought the game level, however a Luke O’Farrell goal subsequently put his side in control once more.
That was as good as it got for Midleton though, with their opponents finishing the stronger of the two sides.
