Hogan out for four weeks with collapsed lung

The Kilkenny star was detained in hospital last night after an aerial clash with Galway goalkeeper Jamie Ryan.

KILKENNY STAR RICHIE Hogan will miss the remainder of the league after suffering a collapsed lung in the win over Galway.

Hogan is expected to be out of action for at least four weeks after being taken to and retained in hospital last night after the severity of the injury was discovered.

The Danesfort man was stretchered off in agony after an aerial clash with Galway goalkeeper Jamie Ryan with just a few minutes to go at Nowlan Park.

Kilkenny won the game by a massive scoreline of 3-26 to 0-10 and Hogan pitched in with 0-2 (0-1f).
