He's in fashion: Dublin star Eamon Fennell lands modelling contract

Good week for midfielder as long-running transfer row ends.

EAMON FENNELL IS having a good week, isn’t he?

The Dublin midfielder has the pick of the female participants on TV3′s Take Me Out last Friday night.

And as our slideshow showed, his hamster-based magic trick bagged him a date with Emma Russell from Tipperary.

Then last night Fennell’s transfer saga at last ended. The Dublin County Board decided to ignore a recommendation from the management committee and finally sanctioned the player’s move from O’Toole’s to St Vincent’s.

Today there’s yet more good news for Fennell as he’s landed a modelling contract with John Compton, a top Dublin agency.

He told the Evening Herald, “I’m not familiar with the industry but I know a few people involved in modelling and they all recommended John’s agency. He’s a lovely fella and I trust his judgment, so we’ll just see how things go.”

The midfielder is a Gaelic Games Coordinator. A hip injury means he will miss the start of Dublin’s Allianz National League campaign.
