These two bad misses summed up a night to forget for Chicharito

Javier Hernandez, look away now.

IT WAS A job well done for Manchester United tonight in Belgium, although one player who probably wasn’t in celebratory mood afterwards was striker Javier Hernandez.

United secured their spot in the draw for the Champions League group stages thanks to a 4-0 away win against Club Brugge, which saw the Red Devils win 7-1 on aggregate.

Hernandez was introduced as a second-half substitute in place of Ander Herrera, but the Mexican didn’t do his cause much good, ending up on his backside after putting an 81st-minute penalty wide of the target.

Hernandez did have one more chance to get his name on the scoresheet in the final minute of normal time.

Ashley Young drilled in a cross from the right and with just the goalkeeper to beat from four yards out, Hernandez’s effort went well over the crossbar.

Chic2

To be fair to Hernandez, he was unfortunate on both occasions; slipping for the penalty and the cross from Young came at him at pace. One of those nights for Chicharito.

The squad can’t afford to loose him. Seems to be a great presence around the club as well.

Fairly sure this move was called off between both clubs 2/3 days ago. On the pulse reporting.

Liverpool would be foolish to sell. Matip and Gomez have bad injury profiles. He’ll be needed this year.

Great news! Bye Lovren, don’t let the door etc. Between him & Moreno we lost the finals of the League Cup and Europa League to substandard defending. With Karius gone, the 3 worst players under Klopp have all gone. No holding us back now
