THURLES CBS BOOKED their place in the Dr Harty Cup semi-finals with a one-point win against Gaelcholáiste Mhuire of Cork.
Playing with a strong wind in the first half in Kilmallock, Gaelcholáiste Mhuire led by 0-5 before the Tipp school hit back with goals from Jack Butler and Billy McCarthy.
Thurles led by 2-4 to 0-7 at the break and were nearly made to pay for some wasteful shooting which saw them score only four points in the second half, but they held on for a 2-8 to 1-10 win.
In Leinster, colleges football champions Coláiste Eoin were knocked out by St Mary’s Edenderry after an extra-time thriller.

Here we go , 4 in a row.
Poor enough game and poor performance from Rovers, but after the intensity of the derby on Friday it is probably excusable. Great 3 points though on the road to title number 21. #mindthegap
Derry came for a belly tiddle and went home with their bellies tiddled.
The defending for the goal was criminal, 4 players around Gaffney but Boyce who’s half his size was the only one who’d tried to get a tackle in. The Derry keeper was poor for the goal as well, too slow to react.
May as well call the season off, nobody is gonna catch Rovers now.
