BOURNEMOUTH BOSS EDDIE Howe has revealed midfielder Harry Arter’s season could be over.
The 26-year-old, who has one Ireland cap, is hoping to be part of the Boys in Green’s 23-man Euro 2016 squad this summer.

However, speaking to Bournemouth’s official website, Howe suggested Arter’s latest setback, which he suffered in the club’s 3-0 loss to Tottenham last month, could mean his season is over.
“Harry (Arter) saw a specialist this week for his injury. We are waiting to see the outcome from that before we know whether we will have him back with us this season,” he said.
Arter could conceivably play for Ireland this summer even if he does not feature in the Cherries’ last five games of the season, though Martin O’Neill may be reluctant to risk a player with little game time, as he prepares to name his final squad for Euro 2016 on 28 May — the day after the friendly with Holland at the Aviva Stadium.

The Bournemouth player is not the only concern, with a number of Irish players currently out injured, while Alan Judge’s hopes of featuring in France ended after he suffered a double fracture to his right leg while playing for Brentford last weekend.
