Fourteen-year-old Espen Smeplass is about to enjoy (at least) 15 minutes of fame.

Fourteen-year-old Espen Smeplass served up the undoubted highlight of the national underage tournament which took place in Bergen last weekend.

Finding himself one-on-one with just the goalkeeper to beat, Smeplass took his shot and scored — while in the middle of a running frontflip.

This wasn’t the first time that Smeplass has done something like this, Pors team sports director Are Hansen told Norway’s TV 2.

“There was a mixture of wild cheers and silence in the hall. Some were ecstatic, some gasped because no one had seen it coming.

“The guys on the team have seen him do it in training, but I’ve never seen it.”
