Haitian international Millien returns to Ireland after signing with Finn Harps

The 30-year-old attacking midfielder enjoyed a successful couple of years with Sligo Rovers from 2012 to 2013.

FORMER SLIGO ROVERS’ midfielder and Haitian international Pascal Millien is returning to the League of Ireland after signing a contract with Finn Harps.

The signing was confirmed on the Finn Harps’ website this morning, although it is still dependent on the 30-year-old being granted a work visa.

Millien is joining Finn Harps from Florida club Fort Lauderdale Strikers, who play in the North American Soccer League.

According to the Finn Harps’ website, boss Ollie Horgan values the experience the attacking midfielder will bring to Ballybofey.

“He will give us more options which will be needed for a long, tough season. He’s very experienced player and a big plus for us is that he knows the League of Ireland”.

Millien enjoyed success during his previous two seasons in Ireland, winning the Premier Division and FAI Cup and appearing 30 times for Sligo Rovers, before leaving in 2013.

He has since had spells in Bangladesh, Thailand, Italy and the United States. He was also on trial with Cork City during the League of Ireland pre-season but parted ways afterwards.

Millien was born in Haiti, but moved to Lakeland, Florida as a teenager. He made his international debut for Haiti in 2006 and has made 28 appearances for them since.
