Guilty: Tevez fined four weeks' wages for Munich misconduct

Argentina striker is found to have breached his contract on five counts on that night in Munich.

MANCHESTER CITY STRIKER Carlos Tevez has been fined a month’s wages.

A club inquiry has found the Argentine striker guilty of misconduct, the club announced tonight.

The player has also been warned as to his future conduct following an investigation into his behaviour on the bench during last month’s Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich in which he seemed to refuse to come on a substitute.

Tevez attended a disciplinary hearing last Friday.

He has also been banned for a fortnight but that punishment is deemed to have already been served. He has two weeks in which to appeal the decision.

A furious Roberto Mancini insisted afterwards that the striker would never play for the club again.

It remains to be seen if that is the case with Brazilian side Corinthians today reportedly cooling their interest.
