Paul Grimley confirmed as new Armagh manager

In addition, Brendan Hughes has been announced as the team’s new assistant manager.

ARMAGH HAVE ANNOUNCED the appointment of Paul Grimley as their new manager, after he was ratified by the county board this evening.

Grimley takes over from Paddy O’Rourke, who resigned following their loss to Roscommon, and Brendan Hughes has also been announced as the new assistant manager.

Grimley comes to the role with much experience, having been involved with the Cavan, Kildare, Monaghan and Meath management set-ups in the past.

A statement from the Armagh county board wished Grimley success in his new role.

“Coiste Chontae Ard Mhacha wish to announce the appointment of Paul Grimley as manager of the senior football team which was unanimously agreed at their meeting held in Morgan Athletic Grounds.

“(We) would like to express our best wishes to them as they begin their work and hope they achieve the success the county and its supporters yearn for.”
